This is my street. I took this from the end of my driveway. My house is out of the picture to the left but these are the same maples I was staring at from the couch the other day. It was a gloomy morning and I was planning to take this picture to show how much the leaves still glow, even when it is gray. But by the time I got out for my walk with camera in hand, the sun had broken through and everything was truly aglow. I decided to keep the idea for the picture though because if you're going to complain about the sun coming out this time of year, you need to get your head checked!!
Just stunning. You're making me miss home. Leaves have barely fallen in Virginia - no crunch, crunch crunch under out feet when we go trick or treating later on this weekend!
