My 10 year old is, how shall I say, OBSESSED with plastic army men. He has bins full of them - of all different color, era, rank, nationality... He can organize them with historical accuracy - he just often chooses not to. Thus the pirate helping out the Union soldiers and the French during what I'm guessing is the American Revolution?... The puffs of smoke are bits of stuffing from an old pillow and I thought it made for a very engaging scene. I love the time and attention he gives to setting up these elaborate displays.
That and I spent the afternoon cleaning the playroom and this was really the only interesting thing I saw all day! Why can't we all just get along?! :-)
