Got Red Sox tickets for my birthday so I was able to take my youngest - the newly declared baseball nut - to his first game at Fenway today. It also happened to be the birthday of the team's mascot, named Wally the Green Monster. They gave out cupcakes and balloons in his likeness and the boys sure loved that. If you don't know what Wally looks like....er....uh....you'd be hard pressed to figure it out from these particular cupcakes. Consistency does not seem to be a strong suit of the cupcake makers - but they do make me laugh!
Unfortunately the Sox could not pull out the win in extra innings - but fortunately the mutant Wallys still tasted delicious!! :-)
