The Tree of Life

This will probably be the last of my "One year ago today" series.....unless of course I get really desperate and start doing a "One year and 5 days ago" series... ;) I took this last year at The Giant's Causeway in Northern Ireland. If you've never heard of the Giant's Causeway, I recommend you look in to it - and better yet, GO!! Legend has it that giants built it as a walkway to reach Scotland. But it is really an amazing rock formation that really defies description. It was one of the most fascinating places I have ever seen in my life. Stunning and mind boggling at the same time - I could have stared at it all day. Occasionally, the mineral sediment from previous high tides left interesting patterns on the rocks. This was one of my favorites. I think it looks like the sun shining down on a tree. I hope I get to go back there again someday.
