My parents recently took a trip to Texas and they brought back actual Mexican Jumping Beans for the boys. You are supposed to put them in the middle of the circle and then see who's bean makes it to a numbered spot first. It is not really as exciting as you might imagine. Sense of direction is not really their strong suit so there was a lot of jumping towards - and then away from the numbers. That and our beans seemed a little sluggish. Maybe they don't care for the New England weather. Can't say as I blame them the last few days....
My favorite part was written in the directions: "If you wager, make it small amounts. The Government doesn't like gambling unless they get a piece of the action. GOOD LUCK!"
Truer words were never spoken... ;-)
