I did not actually mean to take a picture with an empty chair in the middle of it. The joy of taking pictures with an iPad - especially in bright sunshine - is that more often than not you have no idea what you are taking a picture of! In a weird way it's kind of old school. You actually have to wait (at least until you're out of the sun) to see what you've got! In this case, I was definitely happy with "what I got!" :-)
