The weather today was fantastically un-Marchlike - with temps up to 70 degrees. And even though the Winter was in no way brutal, it still felt wonderful! I was determined to get a lovely warm day bird picture - only the birds had other ideas, and obviously much better things to do. This Red-bellied was the only interesting thing I saw at the feeders all day. And the only reason I liked this shot was because there is just a hint of color in his eyes. The sun must have been angled just right because normally I just see beady black dots. It never occurred to me they had color going on. You really can learn something new every day.... :-)
