I Don't Think Help Is On The Way...

The Wildlife Management Area we walked around yesterday had a definite "ghost town" feel to it. There was a paved road through the middle of it but no structures. Although something about the layout of things gave you the feeling that there used to be. For one thing, there were fire hydrants everywhere. Just randomly placed along the road, mostly overgrown. I found them fascinating. They all looked a little different and had different names on them from companies all around the country. There was no rhyme or reason or logic to any of them and I can't for the life of me imagine what was up there at risk of burning that merited that many hydrants. I tried to get some "artsy" photos of them as we walked, but as usual, they didn't come out quite like I hoped. It was still a pretty neat find.
wildlife might be wilder than you think.

It's not a good sign when a fire hydrant is dressed in camouflage.
