In the middle of a busy day, when I was having trouble getting from A to B due to any number of distractions, I managed to spot a new bird at the feeders. This White Throated Sparrow was mingling with a bunch of other sparrows and generally a host of sparrows, while lovely, does not draw my attention much. But since distraction was the order of the day, I found myself watching this little guy because something about him seemed different. The pattern on his head was definitely more pronounced. I only got a few pictures before they were scared off (by my kids...) and no matter how hard I willed it, he wouldn't head back into the sun. This shot gave the best view of his lovely yellow head. Very glad I had trouble staying focused today.... :-)
