The End Of Hammock Season? by hbdaly

The End Of Hammock Season?

After a month of September that felt more like July, today definitely had an October feel to it - Cool and blustery. Even this Mourning Dove perched on my hammock seemed a little puffed and chuffed. Although, as you can see by the foliage (or lack thereof) behind him, Autumn is in no rush to show itself around here this year. It's all been very odd if you ask me. I'm just happy to not be sweating.... ;-)
oh, one more weekend at least.

He does look a little chilly. When do the leaves usually start to turn in Massachusetts?

@eudora where we are, the foliage usually peaks around Columbus Day. But we are way behind this year after a hot, dry summer. Everything is still more green than not. I keep thinking I need to get a picture of it for my project, but I haven't found the right shot yet! :)
