In the last inning of Michael's baseball game today, our pitcher took a line drive right off his ankle. (At least we think it was the ankle. All of the parents around me admitted they weren't watching until the heard the crack of the bat - and by then the poor boy was already down... Don't judge us! Did I mention it was the last inning? And the score was like 18-1!) When someone gets hurt, it is common practice for all the boys to take a knee until the player recovers or gets some help off the field. In this case, the whole infield came in to support their pitcher. You never want to see anyone get hurt, but it is heartwarming to see the boys caring for a teammate, in whatever way they can.
