Running Through The Raindrops

The rain started about ten minutes into Mike’s track meet today. It got very cold and very wet very fast. They called the meet off early because it was getting so miserable and cold but not before Mike ran his heat in the hurdles. He is in the blue shirt on the right. I was not actually trying to take an artsy picture. I think I was just trying to get the camera to focus on the runners as I zoomed out but I kind of like the way this came out. It was the raindrops on the hurdles that jumped out at me and the bright symmetry of all the red and white. More accidental photography on my part. If only I could learn to do it on purpose. 😁

This is a great shot--love the lines of the hurdles and the raindrops. I am in awe of any athlete who can run hurdles! Glad they called the meet before someone slipped and got hurt.
