My Mum made me this beautiful patchwork quilt a few years ago. It is all in blue and white and incorporates lace from my wedding dress, the boys' self-portraits cut from pre-school fund-raiser tea towels, and all kinds of other things. An appropriate picture for today -not only is it Mothers' Day this week, but I have a huge stack of papers to read for a committee meeting tonight and would like nothing more than to crawl under that quilt and forget all about them!
