I forgot to take any pictures when Mum and I were out shopping in Cambridge on Thursday, looking for the perfect shade of blue and spending too much money on nice clothes, so I'm putting in this filler instead; on yesterday's walk I came across a big patch of wild violets growing in the grass verge. I was on my own so I didn't have anyone to show them to (the dogs didn't seem terribly interested!). You'd have loved these, Mum - and they're the perfect shade of violet!
Beautiful Helen. It's wonderful to see all these little signs of Spring. Amazing that they survived the winter. You're right, it is frustrating when you see something lovely and no one to share it with. Dogs notwithstanding!
