The queen was visiting Cambridge today but I missed all the excitement as I was visiting London. I had some meetings with the lovely ladies in marketing and publicity to talk about a website for the Adventure Island series. Walking back to the train station I shot a few pictures with my phone (I forget to take a camera) and caught this elegantly dressed lady in purple disappearing up the steps into this grand building near Covent Garden. Had she just returned from a wedding, I wondered? Or maybe she has been invited to a certain very important wedding later this week and was giving a potential outfit a test-run?
Nice capture! Not too many of us could get away with an outfit such as this! I guess the haberdasheries (do they still exist?) are doing a bang up business on hats this month!!!!
She reminds me of two ladies I often see in my local supermarket. They dress up to go shopping, and if you don't look too closely, they could pass for Her Majesty and Princess Margaret!
