The quality of this photo is so appalling I almost couldn't bring myself to upload it! It was snapped on my phone from the back of the room during the end of season football award for Will's team. We'd organised a big fun event - a dads v lads match, party and BBQ on the recreation ground - but the weather gods weren't on our side - it rained relentlessly for the entire day! In the end we relocated to the village hall (which is in the middle of being refurbished, hence the rather odd decor). The boys still had fun, playing impromptu games and eating cakes. And then they each received a medal from their coach. "If there's one word to describe our goalkeeper," the coach said, as Will went up for his medal, "It's brave!" Everyone laughed. They all knew what he meant. There's a fine line between brave and bonkers and Will gets dangerously close to it! I should know. I'm the one with the plasters and the season ticket to A & E! But then, you have to throw yourself at life to get the most out of it!
