Saxifrage Central

I'e been sitting at my computer so long I had to get out this morning for a longish walk with the dogs so headed off to Bourn, where we did a good stomp round the fields followed by lunch in Abantu, a lovely little cafe in a converted farm building - although I did have my laptop with me to bang out a few more words over my sandwich!
My only defence for this blurry bee who is definitely not up to the standards of some of the fab bees elsewhere on the site is that I was not even taking a picture of this bee - it is a gatecrasher bee. I was trying to capture the lovely border of saxifrages in every possible shade of pink and mauve - they were truly stunning.
Well it's a very pretty and very pink shot. I was marching Monty around Coton this morning - I was in need of some altitude!! I saw a red kite and a buzzard and some younger birds of prey I THINK (does that sound likely?) and a deer and some great corn fields and two collies but not with the owner I wanted to see!!! Must do a walk soon!!

@judithg yes, we do have a gang of local buzzards and red kites who hang around here. Shame I was off in Bourn when you were here. I love the idea of coming to Coton for altitude - you have definitely been living in East Anglia too long! Or did you mean attitude?
