Along the Tow Path by helenmoss

Along the Tow Path

While Mac steers the narrowboat (disappearing under the bridge in the distance) I like the walk along the tow path with the dogs. The boys hop on and off, walk a while, then back on the boat for a while, then off again to open the locks. The speed limit on the canal is 4mph so it's a very leisurely pace. And there is so much to look at. Along this stretch, the beautiful red brick chimneys of old factories tell their stories about Nottingham's industrial history.
How pretty - I'd love to be on the narrowboat. Lovely shot.

What a lovely photo. You've made it feel like I'm walking along the tow path aswell. When my 2 children are older we will take a holiday on the canal.
