An exquisitely beautiful sky over a chalk hill smothered in bright purple pasque flowers - if you've not seen them (and I hadn't before today) think a rather hairy, stockier version of a purple crocus, with a similar bright golden centre. A lovely walk with Jenna, @judithg and karen and our dogs, in my case, an island of tranquility shoehorned in between kids' dentist appointments, school meetings and late-running football matches. Finally home at 9.30 pm, for fish and chips - the first meal of the day I'd actually eaten sitting down!
