Country Lane

We were quite a pack when we set off for a walk along the river from Chesteron to Baits Bite lock today - five ladies, including @judithg, one spaniel, three border collies and a border terrier who was celebrating his first birthday! It was a perfect early summer afternoon (the best sunshine of the half term week) with hedgerows and verges in rampant bloom. Lovely to walk, chat, stop for a drink, walk and chat some more and watch the dogs all running around happily in the long grass. We probably annoyed a few cyclists and runners by taking up more than our fair share of the tow path, but it was worth it.
This is where I wish for a "like" button. Your event sounds like fun and the scenery is so beautiful. Definitely spring.

That footpath is so lovely - I'm in Chesterton so often go for a stroll out that way. You guys should pop in for tea next time you're out that way!

That was a lovely border with all the alliums in it. There are so many bikes we'd never get anywhere without annoying some! I did hide a bit when my friend's husband cycled past though. @katharinehubbard You should come to the pub with us!
