My day trip to London started with coffee with a writing friend at the British Library to plan an event we are doing together soon. Then off to the Royal College of Physicians to look at the exhibitions of John Dee's library (so amazing to see neat and perfectly legible notes and doodles in the margins, all written in the 1500s) and a walk in Regents Park. Then drinks and dinner with my college room-mate (we don't go back quite as far as the sixteenth century, but it's been a few years now) to catch up and chat about her upcoming wedding. Just about the perfect day!
