Once in a Blue Moon

First time attempting startrails, glad I know how to now and will try in the country sometime soon so I won't have the light pollution from our town. Having some fun with the Blue Moon
Wow, was this done with the bulb shutter setting? How long did you use to get this type of trail?

@myhrhelper Thanks Kathy, I read about Startrails and tried this approach. I had the camera on Manual, ISO set to 400, f8.0 and 30 sec shutter speed, I put the continuos function on, set the focus to infinity and took the Image stabiliser off the lens. I used a trigger release the shutter which then took continuous 30 sec pics for as long as I wanted - probably just over an hour or so. I then downloaded the free software - startrails and used it to upload all the pics too which puts them all together for you. Oh yeah and I had to take one piccie at the end with all the same settings with the lens cap on to merge with the other pics - not sure why - gives an average or something. :-)

@helenw2 Oh I want to try that - sounds complicated but worth the cool shot. I am getting a cheap wireless shutter release we'll see how that works.
