Good Eatin'

This is one of our very rare birds, the Takahe - only about 120 left - they are flightless like the kiwi and built like a turkey, so were good eating back in the day. Love the colours in their feathers.

a wildly interesting looking bird. I am seeing some irridescense in those feathers. Hope they can be saved and brought back.
