So far in this experiment I'm reaching some unexpected conclusions..... there really isn't that big of a difference in the photos from the various cameras. They all take good images. I can make a much bigger difference by how I edit the RAW files.
So what is really the point in having all these cameras.... ?
I really love this image! And what an interesting conclusion to have reached. But surely some of your smaller, pocket-sized cameras would struggle to produce an image like this? I know my Sony DSC-TX30 couldn't do this and I'm pretty sure I couldn't produce it by editing one of its images either. But - I don't edit RAW files so maybe that is the difference? :)
This is a wonderful photo, with the mist, the different layers and that red building.
I was interested in your comments and laughed at your conclusion. I guess we collect cameras because we love them? With me, preference is often something like the weight, the controls or a particular lens that I love.
