St Joes by hjbenson

St Joes

One of the older churches in Richland - more than a century - will be taking on its 3rd denomination. Originally built as a Protestant Church in the 19th Century. In the late 19th Century, it was converted to a Catholic Church and was sold in the 21st Century to an Eastern-European denomination. They have gotten approval to basically double its size, so I went out today and took several photographs from all sides for preservation purposes.
nice shot!

The sky is very pretty, but I like the Church the way it is. It will be interesting to see how they change it.

Its beautiful. I love the bell tower and all the little details. I hope they preserve its current style.

@buggus Thank you Oleta; the plans call for an addition to the right without changing the original structure.

This is very nice--amazing that it's over a century old. It looks like it's been very well taken care of. I look forward to seeing the after photographs, too!

@jjsooner thank you Jennifer; I'm hoping it is done in a way that the new section highlights the older one.

Thank you Matthew, I wanted to preserve it before construction of the new part changed it.
