Non-electric Vacuum by hjbenson

Non-electric Vacuum

One of the objects we have out in our living room is this "Pneumatic Cleaner" by Regina; it is over 100 years old. You create the vacuum by moving the pole (?) back and forth. The pole is over 3 ft. (1 m) long. The rubber hose has long since rotted away. We rescued it from being thrown out at Gail's Great-Grandparents house.

Well, it's still a vacuum, so I bet it was better than having to take the carpet out and beat it with a stick. Very cool that you saved it.
