Dreams are Gone by hjbenson

Dreams are Gone

Years ago, I remember a multi-generational family living here. But now they are gone and with the housing market the way it is they were never able to sell. There are now tax liens on it.

To see my other photo for today http://365project.org/hjbenson/others/2012-03-07
What a sad title :( I would love to buy up some property like this. I like how your framed it to show us multiple buildings.

Great composition

This is so sad and all too common these days. Great capture of the economic crisis!

That is sad. Unfortunately it is not an uncommon story at this point in time. We have older people losing their home because as property values have declined, taxes have gone up because the university keeps acquiring property and they don't pay property taxes.

It's so sad to see how such homes are being abandoned daily.

That is so sad! Beautiful photo though

Some dreams are gone! New ones develop. If I won a million dollars, I'd do them all up!

Great composition but a sad story & title.

We see this all the time near our cabin (it's in Washington state) - big beautiful farm houses sitting empty and falling into disrepair. It is sad, because you know the bank won't do anything to maintain upkeep, they'll just try and recoup their losses.
Beautiful how you've captured these however.

This is sad. The economy has too many people in this same condition. The ones who do sell are loosing money.

It's sad that so many families lose their homes..abonded or not it makes still a nice picture.
