Sunday was my birthday and since the Library was closed, we went out to Antelope Island which is in the Great Salt Lake. Some of the oldest - and prettiest - rocks known to man can be found on this island.

Hi Harry, great shot!
Regarding the challenge for for get-pushed-week12, I noticed you normally do outdoors picturing, what about doing an indoors picture with simple elements of a normal day? (i.e.,a cup, a chair, a newspaper, etc). Let me know if this would work for you (:
Those rocks do look old - sort of squashed molten lava look! The Salt Lake at Bonneville is where John's father made a speed record on his old Indian motorbike!
@peterdegraaff Thank you Peter, I liked the colouring here @kerristephens Thank you Kerri, they say these are the oldest rocks you can see in North America @bkbinthecity Thank you Brian, we were glad we stopped out here to se the views @webfoot Thank you Paul, I am told that is because of its serious age
@julie Thank you Julie, they caught my eye as we were walking by @sangwann Thank you Dione, I really liked the colour on this one @rhos Thank you Ann, there were several nice rocks, but this is the best one @vernabeth Thank you Beth, I agree the pressures must have been tremendous to create this
@highway266 Thank you Ted, I appreciate it. @maggiemae Thank you Maggie, there is plenty of interesting places to visit out here and I would enjoy seeing a record broken on the salt flats. @jsvigil Thank you Antonio, I enjoy finding interesting objects in our environment
