What is that green stuff?

The ground has been white for a month now. But, after a warm day yesterday, and a warm rain last night, we can finally see the grass. It's surprisingly green considering it hasn't seen daylight in a month. We still have big snow piles around the edge of our yard, though. I expect to have them until spring.
Good news is, my blowup Christmas decorations are almost defrosted. They got buried the day I put them up.

This is great. There's a lot of depth to it.

@swilde Thanks. The sun was blindingly bright on the snow just outside my yard. But, this part of front yard was still in the shade.

It has been showing its face around here too, and I welcome it.

It is melting around here also, but a cold snap is coming back in

@digitalrn @sarasdadandmom @twr @joansmor Thanks. We are trying to break up some of the big piles so they melt some, too, because we know it won't last forever and there has to be a place to put the next snowfall.

@homeschoolmom Aint that the truth!

We still have one pile left too- but apparently there are some cold days ahead and the possibility of another snowstorm, so it looks like that pile will have company in a few days.

@olivetreeann Unfortunately, we once again have 5 inches of snow and our pile has increased. And we might get more Tuesday. So far we are just over 36 inches for this winter.

@homeschoolmom I know you are further north than me, but I think the fact that we live on top of a mountain helps put us in a similar situation for snow.
