Took this picture this morning just before 10 a.m., right at the spring equinox. Snow pile still here. Some grass now showing in the yard. A small piece of red is sticking out of the snow, proof that our Christmas decorations are still out! It was only 37 degrees when we took this picture, but it's supposed to get up to almost 50. I think spring forgot to come to New Hampshire! Last night, it snowed, then turned to rain. Just north of us, they got 5 inches of snow. UGH! Sorry, no flower pictures to share.
That's why I like the south. Snow is a rarity. Of course, the first sign of it and everyone freaks out, but it doesn't happen enough for that to be a real concern.
@swilde I agree! The weather has lost its mind! LOL! @pixiemac That pile was 10 feet high a month ago. We've had about 6 feet of snow this winter. @joansmor UGH! Winter is really getting in the way of our spring travel plans. @kathysview@linnypinny Thanks, we just rent it as we are only here for the year. @digitalrn So will I. We move to NC in early June.
@terryliv Oh, I hate snow and cold! I would love to live some place that was 75-80 degrees F year round! Six months of winter is awful! Glad we are only in New England for a year. Heading South were it's much warmer and much less snow in just 3 months!
@tremerryn It was barely above freezing when we were out there! LOL! It was snowing a little bit today, just a flake here or there, but it was cold. In fact, my husband and boys are going ice fishing tomorrow! LOL!
Brrrrr! He looks cold! Don't feel bad- there are no signs of Spring flowers here either- but we have had a few warmer days, so I imagine they should be showing up soon.
@olivetreeann This has been a crazy year. Yesterday, it was cold and cloudy all morning. At lunch, it starting pouring down the snow. An hour later the sun came out and it warmed up 15 degrees. Today, it's cold again!
Same here, it's funny because I just posted a similar photo featuring snow.
@zosimasy We have just started seeing some grass again this week, finally.
he looks cold out there, poor kid
Thank you for so consistently taking the time to comment on my images even when I have been unable to reciprocate. I appreciate your support.
