They've gone to Free Comic Book Day since the boys were little, at least 12 years. They've done free comic book day in 6 states - IL, MO, GA, NY (and NJ the day before), NC and MN. Today they had shirts made and bought a lot of graphic novels, as well as collected some free comics.
Free Comic Book Day meant a trip to the comic book store for my husband as well - nice collection of books here and it is nice to see that the 3 share a common hobby.
@shannejw When we lived in IL, people dressed for Free Comic Book Day, but here in NC, they don't. My hubby and boys often dress in costume for the movies.
