If you are lost in the woods....

I've always heard that you can find north because moss grows on the north side of trees. There is indeed moss growing on the north side of our pine tree. It actually grows all over the trunk, but it's thicker on the north side. I certainly wouldn't rely on moss growing on a tree to help me if I was lost in the woods.

Sounds like something the Mythbusters would have tested. I don't think I'd rely on that one either- but I'm not too worried about getting lost in the woods!
