Pandang Gitab of Oriental Mindoro represented by Northern Mindoro Academy and San Teodoro National High School.
From Oriental Mindoro comes a luminous routine anchored on the traditional folk dance called the pandanggo sa ilaw. The dance was inspired by the practice of fishermen lighting their lamps as they go off to sea. The stylized version of the dance stillfollows the traditional”sway-and-balance” movement, with the shallow gyrating of hips and torso and a side-swing of the hands, with the dancer being extra careful not to drop the glasses containing the candles.
