Charlotte Russe by ingrid01

Charlotte Russe

We are off for Thanksgiving, but none of us is really fond of turkey and we have no family here, so I decided just have a nice dinner with a great dessert...
As my 13yr old and I bought some ladyfingers a week ago, I thought a Charlotte Russe would work. She did most work and the photo proofs that it looked good. And I can tell you that it tasted even better!
Gorgeous! Looks delicious!

@ithinkithunk That's another part I really like about this project. You see so many things you never knew they existed!

Charlotte russe
"Charlotte Russe" redirects here. For the clothing store, see Charlotte Russe (clothing retailer).

Charlotte russe is a dessert invented by the French chef Marie-Antoine Carême (1784–1833), who named it in honor of his former employer George IV's only child, Princess Charlotte ,[1] and his current, Russian employer Czar Alexander I (russe being the French word for "Russian"). It is a cold dessert of Bavarian cream set in a mold lined with ladyfingers.[2]
