My husband comes from a big family and with Easter they come together for a big brunch. There are always baskets full of eggs and the tradition is to bang 2 eggs together. The one with the egg that breaks is the loser and has to eat it. The other person can go on. As a joke sometimes there was a raw egg. I was horrified the first time celebrating Easter with them (about 20 years ago), but now we live too far away we miss it. However we do an Easter brunch just with the 5 of us. Obviously we do the banging game too (only I boil all the eggs).
@flowerfairyann if you do it with raw or soft boiled eggs it will be messy, but I'm boring and more importantly have to clean up all the mess, so I only supply hard boiled eggs. No mess at all and still fun!
