The referee at my son's soccer game wore pink too! I'm quite sure that he wears it for breast cancer awareness, because I've never seen a male ref in pink before and we have at least 2 games a week. Although I don't think I've seen him before.
He was good though, and I'm not saying that because my son's team won ;)
Glad the boy won. Pink in rugby is popular with some teams, but as.far as I know it has nothing to do with breast cancer, I think they just want to be different. One French side has the goal posts painted pink. I hope it does not catch on with English teams
