My 4th grade has her Valentine's Party today. We prepared 30 pencils (a lollipop, with Smarties rolled in colored paper with a Kiss as the pencil point. She found an old priority mail box which was a perfect fit!
What a lovely little gift! I hope your daughter had fun at the party. I don't recall ever going to a Valentines Day party when I was a child [many moons ago], we didn't seem to have parties for this occasion.
I didn't have valentines day parties when I grew up either @stephanies
But it might not have to do so much with time. Think it is location. My friends with kids in the Netherlands don't really celebrate it, we didn't celebrate it in Malaysia, but in Mexico and Texas, USA it is a big thing (also for adults)
