Month-of-yellow

One street close to my kids' school have yellow ribbons and signs out in their yards. I realized then that September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and remembered that I tried to post a yellow picture everyday in September 2015.
This is a crazy week for me and I'm late already, so I decided to start yellow on Monday September 19th for the rest of the month.
This is a yellow pre-taste - taken at the soccer fields my son practices. The fields were flooded in April and it just didn't dry because of the wet weather we had. Some fields are now in use and the rest is just a heaven for bird-watchers and/or people with a camera ;)
I like this...

I remember yellow month last year.. no one posted up about this year... I can imagine the birds are loving all the water logged fields! I don't suppose they will dry out now unless you get a warm spell. How cold does it get your way over winter Ingrid? Do you get snow/ freezing temps in Texas over winter?

Hi @stephanies!
I didn't find anything about yellow on 365 either and specifically looked for it.
As for the fields, they seem to be drying up - autumn / fall (as they say here) will start soon, but we still have temperatures in the 90F.
In winter it will cool down, but if we get 3 frost days it is a lot. December, January and februari are usually the coldest with temperatures between about 40 and 65F.
