On Wednesday I volunteer in the library. The librarian is also in charge of the morning announcements. Today she asked me if I had my phone with me to take pictures. Soon my daughter and 5 others came in with the counselor. These kids were all candidates for the "Character without Question" award. The first picture was turned out like this - by accident, but the good thing is I can post it here, because some children are not even allowed to have their face in the yearbook. Anyway, a few minutes later we learned that my daughter had won.
I'm not too sure either @stephanies .... I knew she was a candidate and had an interview with the counselor and some teachers, but what it actually means.... I have been told in order to become a candidate you must set a good example for your pears: be honest, hardworking etc. etc.
Your children must be a source of much joy to you Ingrid... I never really excelled at anything much at school, and was always bottom or near the bottom of the class. I improved a bit in secondary school. My brother was so naughty, he was always getting into trouble and was nearly expelled from primary school.... My poor parents :(
They are a source of a lot of joy @stephanies ! The girls are excellent, but the middle one is a boy and gets in trouble a lot too. This week alone I had 1 phone call and 3 emails from different teachers... However, he is intelligent (just refuses to work - maybe because of his sisters) and he is a lot of fun. He always reminds me that you need some bad weather to be able to enjoy good weather and on top of that I can understand complaining parents a lot better ;)
