Last week Yelena cleaned out her closet and found the uniform dress her older sister used 10 years ago. So for today the background is the uniform dress close up and inside is a picture of 7 year olds in uniforms on a school-trip in KL, Malaysia.
According to the pictures on the school website they still use these dresses!
I like how you have overlaid the photo over the uniform. Well done!
I really like the idea of school uniforms and think they should still be used. Uniforms are the great equalizer and tend to take teasing out of the school.
Great that you still have your daughters uniform. Such a great way to show it with the overlay. So the boys did not have a uniform? Or was it the white shirt and black shorts?
@farmreporter Thank you Wendy!
I like school uniforms too and prefer the stricter ones. Some schools in the district my kids go to have uniforms, but every year they think of more options. When my oldest started at the Middle School here 6 years ago, the uniform was Khaki bottoms/skirts with a white, navy or yellow polo-shirt. On Friday jeans with a spirit shirt (a shirt showing that you are in band/orchestra/theater/etc) Now they have the option of Khaki, Navy or black twill bottoms (no jeans - jeans only on Friday) with the polo-shirts or a spirit shirt every day. When you visit the school you would hardly notice that this is a school with an uniform...
@henrir The boys did have uniform. Dark green shorts and the white polo shirt with the school logo. You could only buy these uniforms in the uniform shop at school.
