Visiting Gouda

I met my husband when I started living in the same student flat almost 30 years ago. We lived there with 20 students. My husband planned to see a few of these friends in Den Haag. As I lived there a lot shorter I liked to see them after many years, but didn't need to stay all evening. Besides it wouldn't be fun for our kids to hang around either. So we visited Gouda and after that we said hello in Den Haag and the kids and I drove back.
When I was a kid I visited Gouda often. My husband and kids didn't know the city, but the center is very nice and they loved it. Just the weather could have been better.
Fabulous architecture

Your daughters under the umbrella? They are so sweet. That church is gorgeous. I do wonder what those red boxes are?

@louannwarren It is actually not a church but a town hall. It was build in 1448-1459 and after that renovated several times. Until 2012 it was still used for meetings, but is now a national monument (you can visit it) and used for weddings. The "red boxes" are no boxes, but the shutters for the windows.
However you are right, those girls under the umbrella are my daughters.
