That is the theme this week for the 52frames with extra credit is for sunrise.
I'm lucky to be in Muscat for this challenge, because in Houston it would be a lot harder. Here are many places I could pick from. You all know that I love the mosques, so this must not come as a surprise.
The Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque is on my list to visit at sunset, but because sunset is around dinnertime (all year round), I have not got to it. With this extra credit thing and Yelena swimming early I made the effort to go in the morning. Sunrise is at 6.50am (not that early) and due to the mountains it is even later before the sun is visible. However, photographing it during sunset is probably better because the light will be on the prettiest side.
I have a hard time deciding which photo I like best, so you will find a few more options the next couple of days..
Gorgeous capture and a lovely mosque. Fav. You have tempted me to go and some shots of a mosque (the only one) there is in Malta and share them with you.
