A hectic day today and wondering what to put up, it looked like it was going to be a nice sunset so I thought I'd go to the beach to capture. Not a very exciting photo but then I thought this is about my everyday life so here it is, looking forward to spring so we have more daylight
It's beautiful... and if we have to come up with something 'exciting' everyday, I'm in trouble! There's magic in the mundane - and this is a long way from mundane, it's a gorgeous play of colour and reflection.
@aspada Had to have a look to find out what exif meant, then noticed the box at the side - if you click info it should show you. I did a tiny amount of editing on my phone and downloaded it straight from there. What kind of info were you wanting? Thanks
@aspada
Amy I see what you mean there's more info on my day 1 photo and it was edited too . The difference is I downloaded this straight from my phone.Can you tell me what the importance of this is please, I'm finding there's so much to learn here - Thank you :)
@ingrid2101 An exif file usually gives all sorts of info - from the camera used to the shutter speed and date and time taken. But now that you say you took it with a phone it's clear why it's missing. Lots of times during the post processing in an app the exif files gets stripped. It's cool. I tend to check out exif files just out of interest.
@aspada Thanks for your help - I should have downloaded it via my computer - need to save them all anyway. I'm going to open a third album with extra photos so I'll put it on there and you can get info that way :)
@luke365@hillymay Thank you :) @primitiveprobe Cool - what do you learn - I'm really new to the digital world and appreciate any help I can get - what does the info help you with? Thank you for positive feedback too
@ingrid2101 Sure, the EXIF data is embedded in the photo file and contains information about the aperture, shutter speed and ISO used when taking the photo. So when you think "how did they do that"' the EXIF is a good place to start. Even phone cameras contain EXIF data, but some photo editors strips that information when you save them after editing. Also, the EXIF data displays on this site will not show you what has been done in post-processing.
@nadaa :) Thank you @hollandcrew Thank you, I've been pleasantly surprised by the camera on my phone - toying with buying a proper digital camera but so much choice :)
I noticed a few comments on my project so I thought it was only right to have a look at yours.
This is beautiful you have captured it at such a precious moment which you cannot recreate and I really do like these type of images.
Thank you -sunsets aren't usually my thing for photos so that's why I don't get too excited :) Glad you like it though :)
