caffenol print scan contrast

This is a print of the neg although I have increased the contrast hugely in PS - will add the untouched print to extra album. I used multigrade paper and filters 5+4 =9 quite contrasty! Still came out pale greys but it's definately better than scanning. Am going to do another film but reduce the camera asa setting by a couple of stops. Will catch up with everyone soon - been in the darkroom all night and my 11 year old printed her first photo, remember what all the chems are from our recent photogram day. Will have her shooting and developing film hopefully!
Well done, li'l 11 year old. :)

I prefer this one to yesterdays upload, Ingrid. Don't know why... the shadow looks really good behind the bottom wheel and I like the texture that's all over the shot.

@gailmmeek Thanks Gail - I'm trying to upload the scan of the original print but I think it's at too high a resolution. Well done on PPx3 - amazing - saw it on my phone earlier !

@lindseying Thank you very much! This has added contrast I'm afraid - this is the look I want to get from straight printing, hopefully will get there!

When printing you can increase contrast, and clarity by using a dupe negative, line them up, and enlarge. I found this PDF. I hope it helps.

Lots of stuff about chemicals, but also some tips for controlling various image properties.

You can also shoot this image one stop higher on iso that the film inside, then push the development one full stop. That increases contrast as well.
