I liked the swirly patterns on the lamp and the tree on this shot, as well as the colour of the sky.
Short on time and struggling for inspiration today, I went out quite late this afternoon to the local park, taking photos of the ducks in the rain, it was a pretty grey day and I'd resigned myself to a rather dull photo, which would have reflected the day quite well.
Walking back to the car, the sky started to turn pink and purple and I spotted this lamp that had not turned on, I thought the scene looked quite mysterious with the tree in the background.
The lamp is positioned on a bridge which I've walked across numerous times and never noticed before, by the time I walked back the lamp had turned on so I'm glad I took the photo when I did.
When I got home I looked online for information about the bridge and discovered that it is cast iron with trelliswork, built in 1870 and is now Grade II listed. Plus lots more about things to see in the park that's sparked my interest so I'll be going back again with the camera soon.
