We went for a walk around St Ninian's Isle today, it's such a beautiful place with many birds and flowers to enjoy. There's a 500 metre long tombolo, which is a beach created and maintained by wave action, that connects it to the main island.
We saw quite a few eider duck families swimming about in the clear water, they looked like they were in a swimming pool. We saw three seals as well, it was clear enough to see them swimming and tumbling underwater, it looked like they were playing tag!
Great shot. Love those lovely clear waters they have up there. On the ferry coming back out from Stronsay one day, the water was so smooth and clear you could see the sea bed as we sailed over it.
