Had a brilliant day out today with a local guide who took us to find wild otters. Within a few minutes of walking along the rocky shoreline of this bay we saw one, it came out of the water onto a rock quite near where we were. They are very sensitive to sounds and smells so we had to be careful not to disturb it. I didn't want to frighten it off with any sounds from the camera so just watched it through the binoculars.
We spent the rest of the afternoon tracking it and spotted it swimming along and coming ashore to eat a fish or take a nap in amongst the rocks. It's quite a skill to keep track of them, we wouldn't have had a clue without our guide, it was fascinating.
I loved seeing the big skies there too, we could see this weather front approaching but glad to say the rain didn't last long.
