It was in the news this week that the Royal Liver Building is to be sold for the first time in its 105-year history.
Opened in 1911 as the headquarters of the Royal Liver Assurance Group it was the tallest building in Europe and remained the highest in Britain until 1961.
We were on our way to see Princess Anne launch the container ship, Atlantic Sea. It's the first new ship to be named in Liverpool for 50 years so was interesting to see but not great for photos, I even missed the most exciting bit when the champagne bottle smashed against the hull!
