My nephew and his girlfriend surprised us when they stopped off on their way to Scotland for New Year so we took them for a nice gentle walk up a hill to look at the view across the Lake District.
We had a lovely time even though it was a bit chilly at the top of the hill. We made up for it by taking them to a nice warm cafe for coffee and cake.
