I've been waiting for a suitable day to go back to the walled garden where I first went in March to take photos to show at an open day in August. It was quite bright but cloudy today and I thought the garden would look refreshed after rain yesterday, perfect.
I found lots of colour in the garden and the botanic collection in the greenhouses so there was plenty to photograph. I'd been planning to just go for an hour but stayed there all morning. I had the place almost to myself, it was lovely!
I'd missed the alliums in flower but the seedheads were still there, I love the structure and colour of them.
